Position: Head of Accounting, Finance, and Investor Relations

Position Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of Accounting, Finance, and Investor Relations to lead our financial operations and investor relations activities. This role will be pivotal in shaping the company’s financial strategy, overseeing accounting functions, and managing investor relations to support GEM’s strategic goals and growth objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Financial Strategy and Planning:

Develop and implement GEM’s financial strategy to align with corporate objectives.

Oversee capital structure management, including debt and equity financing, and maintain relationships with banks and financial institutions.

Lead the financial planning and analysis (FP&A) function, including budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning.

Evaluate investment opportunities, mergers and acquisitions, and other strategic initiatives.

Provide financial insights and recommendations to the CEO, Board of Directors, and senior executives.

2. Accounting and Financial Reporting:

Ensure accurate and timely preparation of financial statements in accordance with applicable accounting standards.

Oversee the accounting department, ensuring robust internal controls, accurate financial records, and adherence to company policies.

Manage the audit process and collaborate with external auditors to ensure regulatory compliance.

Monitor changes in accounting standards and regulations, implementing necessary adjustments.

Coordinate the preparation of filings, quarterly and annual reports, and other required disclosures.

3. Investor Relations:

Develop and execute a comprehensive investor relations strategy aligned with GEM’s financial and strategic goals.

Act as the primary point of contact for investors, analysts, and shareholders, ensuring transparent communication.

Prepare investor communication materials, including earnings reports, presentations, and press releases.

Organize and lead investor meetings, earnings calls, roadshows, and conferences.

Monitor market trends, investor sentiment, and stock performance, providing insights to senior management.

4. Treasury and Risk Management:

Oversee treasury operations, including cash management, liquidity planning, and risk management.

Develop strategies for managing working capital, optimizing cash flow, and mitigating financial risks.

5. Compliance and Regulatory Oversight:

Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations, including BSE, SEBI regulations, and stock exchange requirements.

Oversee the preparation and filing of regulatory documents and disclosures.

Work closely with the legal department to ensure adherence to corporate governance and disclosure requirements.

6. Team Leadership and Development:

Lead, mentor, and develop the accounting, finance, and investor relations teams.

Set performance goals, provide feedback, and conduct performance evaluations.

Promote continuous professional development and succession planning within the department.

Desired Skills & Qualifications:

Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA).

Strong background in financial reporting, corporate finance, capital markets, and investor relations.

Proven experience in managing teams and collaborating with senior executives and boards.

In-depth knowledge of financial markets, regulations, and accounting standards.

Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Strong leadership and organizational capabilities.

Proficiency in financial software, Tally, ERP systems, and investor relations tools.

Experience:

Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience.
