Description

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our accounts team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting principles, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work independently. As a member of our accounts department, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of financial operations.
Responsibilities:
Financial Record Keeping:

Maintain and update financial records, including ledgers, journals, and accounts payable/receivable.
Record day-to-day financial transactions and complete the posting process.
Reconciliation:

Reconcile bank statements, credit card statements, and other financial statements.
Ensure accuracy and consistency in financial records through regular reconciliation processes.
Financial Reporting:

Prepare financial reports summarizing the organization’s financial position.
Generate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for management review.
Budgeting:

Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
Monitor and analyze budgetary performance and report variances.
Audit Support:

Support external and internal audit processes by providing necessary documentation and information.
Address audit findings and implement recommendations.
Compliance:

Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations.
Stay updated on changes in accounting policies and practices.
Communication:

Collaborate with other departments to gather financial information and resolve discrepancies.
Communicate financial information to management and stakeholders as needed.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Professional certification (e.g., CPA, ACCA) is a plus.
Proven experience in accounting or related roles.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and regulations.
Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office suite.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
